• I’m looking for a plugin which can help me to organize a “site of the year” contest, with a few requierements;
    – there are three categories (e.g. large sites, medium sites, small sites
    – competiotrinformation can contain a website url, description and an image
    – users can vote only once in all categories, but also leaving categories blank (e.g. only voting for a large site)
    -Voting results are not being shown until voting period has expired.

    Nice to have:
    – users can confirm their vote(s) by leaving their e-mail address and by receiving a conformation link
    – An entry form for competitors.

    I’ve found the WordPress Voting Contest Plugin (https://plugins.ohiowebtech.com/?page_id=567), but this one show the results directly and does not have any user confirmation.

    Does anyone has an idea on how to start with this challenge? I’ve scanned a lot of voting, contest and rating plugins but can’t find a good starting point… Thanks in advance!

    It is probably worth investigating forms plugins in addition to voting plugins. I would probably look at using Gravity forms for something like this, however there are some free alternatives in the www.ads-software.com plugins directory which have similar features & may be suitable.
