• Hi there,

My webpages seem to take a long time to load. I have tried several options, including slimming down as much plugins as possible and unchecking most of the options in Jetpack, as I read somewhere that Jetpack might be the cause of the long loading times.

However, the site is still very slow. Are there any other options I can check or change that might help this? I tried looking at Google page speed, but I’m not to familiar with code, so I have trouble understanding the different options given there.

My site is https://www.arkovormgeving.nl by the way.

    Thanx very much in advance!

    Regards,

    Arko

Hi Arko, your site loaded in just a second or two. Are you still having issues? Could you try connecting from another network to see if it’s your local internet connection at fault? Do you also find the Illustratr demo slow?

    Hi Kathryn,

Thank you for your reply. The demo doesn’t appear to be slow. I think the problem with my site is most apparent when you open different pages, or individual projects. The loading ‘dots’ are visible for some time than.

Several of my friends, whom I asked for feedback, have commented that the site is slow, so it is probably not my network.

Maybe it is my hosting or something, or maybe it is some plugin or script? I use png’s as images, but try to keep them as small as possible, but still look crisp on retina.

    Thanx!

    Arko

You could try running the P3 Profiler to see if it might be a plugin slowing things down:
