• I haven’t done anything on my site for a while but I just visited it today and was redirected to McAfee’s download page after about 10 seconds. Someone else confirmed it was doing the same for them too. The site is philnolan3d.com [warning: site may contain malware]. Any idea what could cause this?

Edit: Now someone else told me they get a page of illegal movies and stuff when they visit my site.

Thanks, that said “not found” for everything.

I just tried deactivating all of my plugins (not that many) one at a time and each time I checked the site and still got redirected somewhere, so it would seem that it’s not a plugin causing it.

    “not found” for everything

    Thaat good ??

tried deactivating all of my plugins

Now switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

If you don’t have access to your admin area, use FTP , or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides. Navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder by adding “-old” to the end of the folder name. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.

OK so I renamed my theme folder in FTP but then the site wouldn’t load at all, so I undid that and switched to 2015 theme in the Dashboard. This worked but I still redirected when visiting the site.

The site is being redirected, the interim link before McAfee is:
    https://lab.kaizenet.com/base.php?c=124&key=a3d3b1f93ec95538028ed57c7b76c846

Just an observation and a quick print screen.

I haven’t used McAfee or Norton in like 10 years or more.

Interesting about that kaizenet, they seem to be a web marketing company.

I fixed it myself. I installed an anti-malware plugin. It scanned the site and didn’t confirm anything but suspected 3 .JS files. So I disabled those plugins and site worked fine. So then I went ahead and deleted those JS files and replaced them with the same ones from an old backup I had. Now the plugins are activated again and everything seems back to normal. Thanks for the suggestions.
