Site Showing Blank

Hello I’m really up against a wall as I cannot figure out what happened to my site..lol a few months ago I decided to just put a splash page up with some general information on me while I was planning the redesign of my full site. So I copied my index.php file saved it as something else for the meantime and then created a new index.php which had strictly HTML information in it to just display a youtube video and one graphic with some information on shows. That was fine until last night when I decided to begin making changes to my full site.

So I pulled the index.php file, renamed that something else and reloaded the original content which I made sure was named index.php so that when you typed in my url Link that would be the first page which pops up with all the info I had listed…

When you go to it its blank now and not showing anything.
I’m not sure what’s wrong and if maybe I’m placing the file in the wrong place… My files are in my www/ directory but I wasn’t sure if I was suppose to place the index.php file back in my themes folder or if its suppose to just sit in the www/ folder?

I tried reloading the index.php file which just had html information in it, and noticed that it would not show up unless I placed it in the www/ folder – but when I try and place the new index.php file which as all the php coding in it like <? get_header()?> and my loops and other info.. it does not show up, its just blank…

Can anyone advise as to what I should do or what may be wrong… I tried putting the file also in my theme folder just to see what happens and I get FORBIDDEN do not have permission to access / on this server… I can’t figure this out..
