• A few weeks ago my site starting loading really slowly and sometimes giving “error establishing data base errors”.

The site is hosted at hostgator. They suggested optimizing the images so we installed Smash and did a bulk optimization. This resolved the loading issue, but many of the images were made so small they were unusable. As soon as I started to replace the small images with the original ones the loading and crashing problem started again.

Most images are png 1845X1052 and are under 100K each. Within the links on the home pages there are about 120 images. Most are within galleries. The problem is internment. Sometimes the site loads fine, sometimes very slowly and other times not at all.

Is it a case of having too many images? I can make the size smaller (H x W) but I don’t think I can get the kb smaller, since most are around 50 -60K.

Here is a link to the site: mritradingsignals.com

The issue is in Chrome, Firefox and IE. Any help would be appreciated.
