When I check my detailed site statistics (clicking on the “site stats” link in the left-hand column of the dashboard) and look at the list of Top Posts and Pages, I often see both “Home” and “Home Page” as separate entries. I wanted to see what the difference is between these two to find out why they are listed separately, so I clicked on the links to each page.

The link for “Home” is in fact to my site’s home page: https://www.visiblelightphoto.net.

The link for “Home Page,” though, is https://stats.wordpress.com; when I click on that I’m taken to my stats page.

So I’m totally confused. I thought the stat counter doesn’t count my own visits to the site (assuming I’m logged in). The only way I can get to the stats page is if I’m logged in. Surely no one else can get to my stats page? Are these real hits or an artifact of something else?

    Any thoughts out there?

    Thanks!
