Site Temporarily Unavailable

  • When any admins try to log into the admin interface for our self-hosted WordPress blog we keep seeing “site temporarily unavailable”. It will eventually work after 3-4 attempts but is super annoying.

    The front end is still working fine.

  • A quick visit to your site shows a load time of over 5 seconds – There could be a server setting from your host that causes a time out after a request exceeds a designated time. I would check with your host first.

    Thanks for the quick response! How much does the theme have to do with page speed? I feel like things have slowed down since switching. Any suggestions for themes that have a lot of focus on speed and SEO?
