I just swapped UltimateSEO f?r YoastSEO. Both plug-ins were installed alongside as I copied the titles and meta descriptions from Ulitmate to Yoast.

Once I was done I deactivated UltimateSEo and uninstalled it.

But now all pages and posts have “Untitled Document” as title (see document). I have double checked that there IS a title. I’ve cleared the browsers cache.

No change. What am I missing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Bollestina,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your site titles. On checking, I could not replicate this issue. Can you share a URL of a page or post with “Untitled Document” as the title?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hello Maybellyne,

Thank you for replying. We temporarily fixed the problem by adding the Title directly in the theme (my programmer helped me with this). So unfortunately I can’t replicate it on https://vivaespana.se/ right now. However this is not an ideal solution since I can’t edit the titles or meta-subscrition.

I would like to add an image here in the thread to show you what the problem looked like. I have a screen shot from that day. But I can’t see how I can do that? Is it not possible?

I’ll try in words: On this page, right this one where I’m writng this, above the url-filed there is the tab where the title shows saying: “Site title says “Untitled Documen..” So this is where the Site Title I choose in Yoast noramaly would go. But it didn’t. What ever I put there it said “Untitled Document”. Even after I removed the UltimateSEO -plugin completely. I reinstalled UltimateSEO, tries several export-import options but the problem was stil there.

I understand that it is not easy for you to guess when you can’t replicate hte issue. I’m just taking a chance that is osmething someone has seen before and maybe have a solution for.

    Maybe … =)

    Hi,

We’re not quite sure we understand your description of the issue. ??

You can use a website such as snipboard.io or imgur.com to upload a screenshot and share some links here so we can try to understand where the ‘untitled document’ title is coming from. Is it populated in the Yoast SEO meta box ‘SEO title’ field?

Thank you for your commitment to my problem!

I’ve uploaded an image here: https://imgur.com/a/ssGw3aK

So this is what I did:

    Installed Yoast
Manually transferred all titles to Yoast SEO meta box ‘SEO title’ field
    Inactivated and deletetd UltimateSEO
I get the result you see in the image

Reinstall UltimateSEO and the titles are back.

So I restored a backup of the website i.e. to before I even installed Yoast and tried to use Yoast import-function from Ultimate SEO. But with the same result.

    Best regards

Thanks Christina for the screenshot; it all make sense now.

I suspect the problem stems from the previous SEO plugin but I am glad your developer was able to resolve the issue by hard-coding. We could have looked at it differently if you were still experiencing it. And I totally understand the need to have it resolved quick!

If it ever happens again, please do reach out.
