• I just activated the “Site Unavailable” plugin by Taragana https://blog.taragana.com/index.php/archive/wordpress-plugins-provided-by-taraganacom/
When activated, this plugin makes your website unavailable to everyone except the admin…until you deactivate the plugin. I accidentally closed the browser after activating this plugin, and now when I go to domain.com/wp-admin to login, I get the “Site Unavailable” message.

How do I log into my site when the site is unavailable? I can’t even access the login feature using
    domain.com/wp-admin ?

How can I disable this plugin when I don’t have access to the plugins panel?

  • When all else fails, just FTP to your host and delete/move the actual plugin file from wp-content/plugins.

WordPress will figure out that it’s gone.

Awesome, that did it. Thanks, HandySolo. Being locked out of your own blog is pretty unnerving! I wonder why the plugin wouldn’t let me access my login page.
