Site unusable after update.

    Hi there, I updated to 4.0 and am now reinstalling the previous version.

    Here is what I noticed.

    Stuck in visual editor. Temporary fix is run the debugger.

    Jquery not working. Many errors and conflicts.

    I did the usual plugins off and theme to twentyfourteen

    The main Error I encounter in the console was

    TypeError: ‘undefined’ is not a function (evaluating ‘HomeMader()’)

    Tried it in safari and chrome.

    I hope there is a fix soon, I really like the other enhancements ??

    If you mean you are both uploading the full file backup set and then redoing the DB with a full DB backup, that will restore the site (if all was done right and the site was fine before update actually). Just reverting to an old version of either can lead to issues…

    Please review in the 4.0 Master List the most likely cause for this (caching).

    Thanks for your reply. I didn’t do the installation, found instead that my websites have been hacked with injected iframes in numerous javascripts. All yesterday, so off to securi I go.. ??
