Site URL

  • Hey guys I have a problem,

    So I bought a domain name (Realstreetfashion.com) with godaddy and linked the nameservers with my Alidropship Hosting. The URL to access the website is https://uf535101845791.alisrv.com My problem is that I want to change the website name which alidropship Hosting gave me to my domain name. If I change Site URL it to my godaddy domain name it says Server not found. And if I try to redirect the my main domain to my domain name it doesn’t work. Do you know how I can change my Site URL so when People type realstreetfashion.com my website comes?

  • Quick fix would be to use GoDaddy’s DNS service and domain forwarding since that is supposed to be included with the domain name itself.

    More elegant solution would be to point the domain name toward your server at Alidropship with a A record and follow whatever Ali says to do to redirect or use a custom domain.

    Either way, this isn’t really a WordPress problem. Are you sure that the domain name is yours and registered?

    I didn’t see any DNS record there when I looked just now.
