Site Url for Portfolio says 'nothing found'

I’ve used WordPress for my portfolio for the past year, but regretfully I’m still not tech savvy at all. I’ve never had problems with my portfolio, but recently I edited all of my pages and they are working fine; however, the site url says ‘nothing found.’ I can click on the tabs for all of my pages and they come up without a problem, but I would like my site url to lead to my ‘about’ page as it did in the past. I know that I’m not able to change the permalink on my ‘about’ page to my site url, so how can I prevent it from saying ‘nothing found’? I’ve scoured the forums and I can’t find anything that directly pertains to my problem. Please help!
