  • Hi

Have you been through the full installation process before you have had this problem?

You could try checking your wp-config.php file to see that the database settings are correct and also that the $table_prefix setting matches the table prefixes in your database.

You can check the database name and prefixes in phpMyAdmin.

    Hi forksonwheels,

please do repair in MySQL Databases and it will fix your problem. Go to https://codex.www.ads-software.com/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_do_you_repair_a_MySQL_database_table.3F to know how to repair a MySQL database table. Please take complete files and database backup of your WordPress installation first so that you will be able to get back to where you are currently if anything goes wrong.
    Hope this will help you.
    Thanks

Well, THAT was a nightmare. I tried repairing the database. Nope. I deleted and re-uploaded all the files. Nope. I deleted the config file and uploaded it again. Nope. I restored the database to an earlier version. Nope.

Finally, in a last ditch effort, I removed “install.php” entirely. And hey presto, I could access the admin folder again, where there was a message to upgrade the database. This was done and finally (after MORE THAN AN HOUR of fooling around with files) I could access the admin area.

So if reinstalling ALL the files and repairing your database doesn’t work, then you might like to try the above.

Me paso lo mismo, pero en otros navegadores no pasaba. Lo que hice fue borrar todos los ficheros temporales y cookies del navegador y con eso se arreglo.

    Google translator:

The same thing happened to me, but in other browsers it did not happen. What I did was delete all temporary files and cookies from the browser and with that it was fixed.
