site verification

  • google does not see my site either i have been trying to get verified since april 16th!!!! i tried to upload the html and also the meta tag and i have followed every demo and guideline and posting i can find. it will not verify and i cannot set a sitemap until i verify. WHERE do i upload the html file they give me to??? i need exact step by step. like copy the html and file and go to….i have seen so many of these postings WHY is it so difficult??!!!

    Google does not guarantee placement in their search index by any means. I ran your domain through the dite status wizard Google Webmaster Central and they claim that your domain is currently being indexed (homepage last indexed March 10th). Many times it takes a while for a page to attain a high page rank. Until this occurs, you will be listed very low in the results or may online find your site when searching for the domain name. There are many sites that claim they will help boost your rank (I don’t know how well they work because I have never used one). Try a search for “search engine placement” if you are interested.

    It’s best to use the Google Webmaster Tools to verify ownership of your website (registration required). Ownership verification can be either via header code or file placement onto your server. This is a good step towards adding your website to the Google crawl bots list of websites. Depending on how many websites your exact website appears on will dictate where amongst the other websites yours appears. It could be at the top or on the millionth page. Good Luck.

    thank you soooo much very even responding. i have become so frustrated with all this. i agree with you on “invites” to boost rank and i see many of them. i will try the tools site and again thanx to all bren
