• I was updating my site and set it to private so no one would see the work in progress. I finished and went to make it public and the section in my dashboard to change the settings is completely missing and there is nothing in the security settings tab to change it either. How to I make my site public?

    Thank you!

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins (ikely cache plugin), and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I’ve been using a plugin to design my pages. If I disable it, will I lose all the work I’ve done?

I used that plugin and it said everything was fine other than to delete extra themes and update to a newer version of PhP. Is this possibly a WP error? Because the dashboard is completely different, and I just checked and this section is missing on my other site as well. And it is missing from a site that I have been working on for a job. And the job WP site and mine have different themes and that section that used to control the site privacy is MIA on all of them.
