Site vs what they show in the picture..WTH?

  • I was told its “way quicker” to come to WordPress through my hosting and grab a theme and get going. I need a quick shop set up, so instead of making a zencart like I have for years, I thought I’d give it a try.
    TWICE, I have picked a free theme because the pic shows exactly what I need and how I want the site setup. I don’t want to pay money for one now, just use a free one to get it going and may rework it at a later time.
    TWICE, the themes I pick look NOTHING like the image they show. TWICE, I have been told I have to PAY for the premium to get the file for it to be just like what they show.

    Tech support for my hosting said they usually give a free upload that gives you what the pic shows, but so far, I haven’t seen that happen. Isn’t that misleading?

    Is this common?

  • Same here. I also needed a quick set up and I paid for the template. But is absolutely not what they show. I am already 2 days bussy to change the Category list……No help documents available.
