• Hi,

Since updating to the Twenty Twenty Two theme I’ve had heaps of issues with my site.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to the site not displaying properly if I change the site URL to mounthector.nz while the WordPress address/URL is different (required due to where it’s hosted). These are found under the “general settings” menu where it says “Enter the address here if you want your site home page to be different from your WordPress installation directory.” I was previously using the mounthector.nz site URL without issue.

It’s also not possible to edit the site when the two URLs are different, as WordPress doesn’t recognise admin rights when the site URL is set as my preferred option and not the installation directory. It seems like this problem might also be affecting Jetpack as I keep getting error messages about “duplicate sites”.

Does anyone have any idea of a workaround? I would prefer not to use the installation directory as the site URL as this creates issues with SSL and having the site blocked as the actual registered domain is mounthector.nz so redirecting to the WordPress URL is considered a security risk.

    Cheers!
