• Hi,

I manage multiple sites and suddenly (I didn’t work on them) all of them work only with “ugly” permalinks. When I set other format of a permalink, every permalink gets redirected to one page or I cannot access the page at all.

I checked .htaccess file (set a default file), all plugins (disabled them all and single ones), all themes (disabled, tried another theme). Nothing works. Permalinks are working only in “ugly” format.

I did some research and I have more or less the same problem like this guy:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/permalinks-suddenly-not-working/

Can somebody help me? I would REALLY appreciate it!!

    Cheers

My hosting is on Axfone.eu and they are running ISPConfig if you are asking that

I was wondering whether this is your own configuration, because by default, Apache ignores .htaccess and it takes a config setting to enable it. You might ask your host if the have “AllowOverride All” enabled for your virtualhost.

Thank you for your reply. I asked my host and currently I am waiting for an answer. I am pretty curious what they are going to reply ??

So they replied that they checked the servers and everything should be working now. However it is not, it is still redirecting to wrong pages when using other than ugly permalinks. I guess I am going to wait if any future WP update will fix this.

you need to disable the cache, if you use plugin cache ask the plug-in programmer for more information. Please @sterndata this time don’t delete my message improperly .. thanks.
