Hi there, I’m having a bit of a problem with my Total Cache plugin.

For some reason, on a daily basis, the site feed [https://www.diabetes.co.uk/news/feed] will error and show nothing on the page. The only way I can fix this is to empty and purge the cache.

Am I doing something incorrectly? How can I stop any cache of the feeds? It’s becoming quite a problem so any help appreciated.

Have attached a screenshot of the general settings in case it helps: https://i.imgur.com/JTLJ3hb.png

I think the problem is that when a new post is published, the feed either becomes corrupt or does not update. But I have no idea how to investigate.

    Hello @arjski

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
Yes, I can see that the feed page is blank. I can also see that you are using the Page Cache and minify options in W3TC.
Can you please try adding /feed/ in Performance>Page Cache>Advanced>Never Cache following pages, and also do the same in Performance>Minify>Advanced>Never minify following pages
Also, make sure to check the following in the Performance>Page Cache>Purge policy:
    Post comments feed
    Post author feed
    Post terms feeds

Save all settings and purge the cache after this and let me know if the problem persists.
    Thanks!

Thank you so much for your help.

I had one question: on Page Cache > General, “Cache feeds: site, categories, tags, comments” is not selected. Is this correct? https://i.imgur.com/kVopGgo.png

    Thanks!

    Hello @arjski

    You are most welcome.
As I can see, the page is showing correctly now:

And to answer your question yes, you should avoid enabling Cache feeds: site, categories, tags, and comments in your case, to avoid caching feeds.

    Thanks!
