• I created and maintain a site at https://www.midwaymadness.com for a client. It has been running smoothly for several months

My client contacted me today to tell me that, while trying to upload a video to a new post today, an error occurred and the site “disappeared.”

When I checked I found that indeed midwaymadness.com pulled up a blank page, and attempting to access the wordpress backend at midwaymadness.com/wp-admin redirected me to https://midwaymadness.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fmidwaymadness.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1.

Accessing the site via FTP, it seems that everything is intact. The files are still there and all.

I’m not sure what the problem is, or even if it’s a wordpress issue at all. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

According to my client, he wasn’t actually uploading a video but embedding a youtube video in a new post. When he clicked to create the post, things disappeared.

Sorry for the multiple messages – my client now tells me that he “upgraded something” – I’m trying to find out if it was a plugin or wordpress in general (I know he wasn’t running 3.1) – so if I had to guess I’d say it’s a version issue. I’ll go try and look this up in an existing forum post, but is there an easy way to restore to the previous version of wordpress?

    Thanks again.
