SiteGround Optimizer (version 5.9.0) – Plugin update error message

    Just updated to latest version of SG Optimiser 5.9.0. and received this error message (slightly redacted the front part) :-

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 17 of the file ***(mysite)***/wp-content/plugins/sg-cachepress/core/Install_Service/Install_Cleanup.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method SiteGround_Optimizer\Helper\Helper::is_siteground() in ***(mysite)***/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sg-cachepress/core/Install_Service/Install_Cleanup.php:17
    Stack trace:

    Seems to have created a minor CSS issue. Published pages are now not picking up font colours correctly from WP Appearance and Neve Theme settings.

    No functionality impact.

    Editing pages in WP / Elementor shows correct font colour settings, only not working on live site. Tried deactivating / reactivating plug in and purging / clearing caches and refreshing WP Appearance settings, with no effect.

    Anyone had similar issues with 5.9.0. update? Any idea if a temporary issue or one which needs fixing? Any thoughts on how to fix other than restoring back-up?

    Thank you for your report!

    The upgrade issue is already fixed. The error received is no way affecting the plugin performance, so you can safely ignore it.

    As per the Elementor style settings, could you please provide us with more information how we can re-create the issue on our end.

    Hi

    Thanks for prompt response.

    Can now see a thread on the Elementor plugin forum with a few people having the same issue (unrelated to SG optimiser). Will assume for now it’s Elementor plug-in update not SGP (which makes more sense anyway), and I’ll try to get a fix through that thread.
