    I am not sure where this belongs – in Google Ads support, or here.

    SiteKit is managing the Analytics tag on the site. Google Analytics sees it and it is receiving data.

    Google Ads however says this:

    Could not find a Google Analytics tag on your website, set one up to start seeing your data.

    Is this a SiteKit issue or Google Ads issue?

    Thanks for reaching out. From following the suggested guidelines to link a Google Analytics account with Google Ads I didn’t encounter any message.

    Furthermore from checking your sites source code I don’t see any Site Kit placed Analytics code, with a UA- prefix. From further checks using tagassistant.google.com I can see Analytics is firing, so it looks like you do have Analytics placed via Tag Manager or other means, and not Site Kit.

    What you could do is remove the existing method of Google Analytics placement on your site, and allow Site Kit to insert the Analytics tracking ID. This may allow you to proceed with linking your Analytics account with Google Ads, as the tracking code is evident in your source code directly. I suspect the method used to check your site for Analytics performs a scan of your sites source code, although I can’t be sure, we don’t support Google Ads of product specific service enquiries here in the support forums.

    Alternatively you can contact the product experts at the Analytics Help Center, and make on enquiry about why your Google Ads is not successfully recognizing your existing Analytics tracking ID.

    Let me know if you have any further queries on this.

    OK well that is odd. I am not referencing our analytics tag from anywhere else besides SiteKit. The only thing that we were adding outside of SiteKit was the remarketing code, but I removed that now too.

    I checked custom snippets, manual header code in the template, and looked for any plugin that may be introducing the tag and I could not find anything.

    Google Ads is still complaining that it cannot find the Analytics tag. I will try to get help from them.

    It does seem unusual, although I can’t be sure how Google Ads performs a check. You’ll see from an earlier check below there is a Universal Analytics property firing on your site, although not evident when checking your sites source code:

    If you want to share your Site Health information I can check your current setup, or check and see if I can notice any possible third party plugins that could be impacting the default snippet.

    Hm that’s odd. I can see it in the source. There are 4 locations in this page:

    There is also one that belongs to a different account, SiteKit’s?

    Can you check the below, while not logged in:
    view-source:https://www.venn-cycling.com/de/

    Let me know if you can’t see the property code output in your source code.

    (@vmajor)

    Yes I see this:

    <script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=UA-3807601-21' id='google_gtagjs-js' async></script>
    <script type='text/javascript' id='google_gtagjs-js-after'>
    window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
    gtag("js", new Date());
    gtag("set", "developer_id.dZTNiMT", true);
    gtag("config", "UA-3807601-21");
    </script>

    The SiteKit one is not present however.

    @vmajor Apologies for the delay in responding. I’ve checked the source code of your site once more, this URL specifically and the standard UA- analytics tracking code isn’t printed as you can see from source code this output.

    Regardless your Analytics is working as expected however you’ve implemented Analytics on your site.

    In relation to Google Ads not finding your Analytics snippet did you post the question on the Analytics or Google Ads Help Center?
