SiteKit not connecting to AdSense account

    I have activated Google AdSense, but sitekit doesnt not agree and gives me the following error message:

    “Your account isn’t ready to show ads yet

    You need to fix some things before we can connect Site Kit to your AdSense account”

    My account is not showing any errors or issues. I tried disconnecting SiteKit and reconnecting it, to no avail. What might I be missing?
