Based on your post, it sounds like you may be attempting to upload from a backup. If that is the case, it may be safe to say that the backup you’re using is infected. I would recommend that you ascertain the version of WordPress that you’re running. One of the easy ways to determine the version you’re running while the website is producing errors and potentially inaccessible, is to use FTP, SSH, or you host’s File Manager to download and open a file called version.php in the wp-includes folder of your website. Once you know the version, you can get a fresh clean copy of that WordPress version at the link below. Perform a backup before proceeding. Once you have a backup in hand, go ahead and overwrite the existing problem files wp-settings.php and post.php. This should resolve the error you’re seeing. Once you have access to your website again, perform any outstanding updates.
