    Hi,

at my multisite the sitemaps aren′t found any more (404) with the latest version of All In One SEO Pack. I use nginx.

    Is this a known bug?

    Regards,

I use php7. I think we should wait till MichaelTorbert answers.

P.S.: With the current version the sitemap xml page works again in addition with the config lines of MichaelTorbert. But only at single wordpress installations content is displayed (URLs). At my multisite there is displayed only the header, but no urls (This sitemap index contains 0 sitemaps). It seems that one of the last versions fixed the problem in general, but there′s another problem at multisites.

Sometimes I think this is a problem of these plugins with php7, other apache servers, which are ok sitemap by google, also php 5, and I already had other problems with php7, logic that there is nothing wrong with the version, What’s wrong is plugins support. I used a cms on one of those servers, which forced me to go back to the 5. of so many problems I faced, but I still bet my chips on something in Nginx vhosts conf.

@yoursql719 We didn’t change anything with the sitemap in the latest version.

@yoursql719 @herculesnetwork The rewrite rules I provided are correct. If your sitemaps aren’t working with any SEO plugin, then the problem is with your nginx configuration. You’d need to either hire a Linux Systems Administrator to configure your web server, or else choose a hosting company that configures it for you. Hosts like Cloudways have a great implementation of Apache and nginx at the same time.

They are not correct, my code was not correct. they were inside a tag that could not be, it should be at the end of closing the SERVER code, and it was inside location, with that it was solved, I tried the code of several plugins, And they never worked, so I thought, I’m going to put it inside the SERVER tag, and it worked! I just solved it, it was as I suspected, the problem was only with rewrite, I knew there was nothing wrong with my nginx server, since I follow an exact recipe to create a web server, both nginx and apache (this being I’m more know-edge), a suggestion I give you, is to put this, inside the plugin, as other plugins do, a warning in dasboard wp in option plugin:
See you how to others plugins are doing: google xml s..
I’m using another plugin to make my sitemap starting today, because one thing I always knew, is that the best sitemap are the multiple sitemaps, with one directing to others, and the google XML and yoast plugins do this, I learned this In this article:
    why to user multiple sitemaps

But I leave here my great admiration for your plugin AIO-SP, which in my humble opinion is the best SEO plugin on the market.

I’ve added Github issues for both of your suggestions. You can follow and/or participate here:

Thanks, can you please post the rewrite rules, which you′ve screenshoted? They are not the same like the posted ones in this thread.

@benhartwich The ones in the screenshot wouldn’t work with AIOSEOP. That’s an example from a different plugin, to illustrate his feature request that AIOSEOP have a notice letting nginx users know they need special rewrite rules.

Again, the rewrite rules I provided earlier are the correct rewrite rules for AIOSEOP.

    @michael Torbert Great!

@benhartwich Michael has already posted here, and the rewrite of the other plugin is on its own. Good look and tell me if solved

@herculesnetwork Maybe it’s because it is Friday and I’m just ready for the weekend, but I must have been out of my mind earlier. Of course we already have a sitemap index: https://semperplugins.com/documentation/xml-sitemaps-module/#enable-sitemap-indexes

Maybe I’ve been mind-bending for the past week or so I’ve looked at the plugin more deeply and have not tested this feature, discouraged by the warning that we should check only if we have too many pages to index, but in fact, that option did not seem to I’m a sitemaps indexer, but yes, really AIO already has the feature, which by default, is the default model of other plugins .. I think hint should say: index of sitemaps (multiple sitemaps) and It does not discourage anyone who has a simpler structure website.? Important now you implement the rewrite view for those who use nginx, you should see the statement inside the plugin options.
Best Regards, have a great Weekend.
