Could you try to update or publish a new post, to force Jetpack to generate a new sitemap?

If that doesn’t help, could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

    Hi Jeremy,

I updated and published new posts, but the sitemap page is still showing a 404 error. My site is: aikidoofarlington.com/blog.

    Thanks,
    Teresa

Could you go to Settings > Permalinks, and save your permalink structure again, to force an update of your site’s .htaccess file?

Once you’ve done so, try loading the sitemaps page again, as well as your site’s robots.txt, which seems to return an error as well:
    https://aikidoofarlington.com/blog/robots.txt

Let me know how it goes.

Resaved the permalink structure. Still nothing. Getting the same error for the robots.txt page as well.

Thanks for giving that a shot! The next thing to check is whether any other plugins on your site may have a conflict. Can you please try to deactivate all plugins on your site, and see if that resolves the issue? If it does, then activate them one at a time to determine which is causing the conflict.

Please let me know how that works for you, and we can go from there!

Turning off all the plugins gives this error for the sitemap pages:

    The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

The only plugins I’m using are: All in One WP Security, Customizable Permalinks, Post Expirator, and Subscribe2.

Could you check your site’s .htaccess file, and make sure it doesn’t include any extra redirect rules that may affect the sitemap page?

Let us know if it helps.

Where is the .htaccess file located?

You can find that file at the root of your WordPress installation.

I do not see an .htaccess file in the root folder or the wp-admin / wp-content / wp-includes folders. I am showing hidden files.

Could you try to create your own .htaccess file, as explained here:

Let me know how it goes.

Looks like my web host doesn’t allow .htaccess files to be uploaded. I’ll try another plugin.
