• Hello, I am trying to submit my XML sitemap in Search Console but am running into errors.

I’m currently using the RankMath WordPress SEO plugin. I did try disabling the plugin and use the WordPress built-in sitemap but the issue still persists.

I also have an issue about my site being hacked, although it was already clean from the malware tools standpoint and Google’s tools. It is still displaying in the searches so I’m thinking it had to do with the sitemap not being indexed.

You can see it for yourself by putting this search term in the searchbox.
    site:atengarofalodental.com

I tried using the temporary removal in Google to deindexed those pages and since it does not exist on the site’s backend, it should be permanently removed but it keeps coming back

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • If the plugin didn’t overwrite it somehow, WordPress generates a sitemap by default at:

    /wp-sitemap.xml

    for example:

    example.com/wp-sitemap.xml

Otherwise, you may want to contact the SEO plugin’s forum for help.

I’m not sure how to help with a previously hacked site, other than what you seem to be doing now…Google takes a while before it sees you’re cleaned up.

Is there anyway I can manually create sitemap? (if I’m only using the WordPress sitemap?
