    Hello,

My sitemap coverage has exclusions of 2.4k out of 3.76k pages. Of the main bulk, 1k come from “Page with Redirect”, and the 2 other significant reasons being, “Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag”, and “Crawled – currently not indexed”.

With GSC, I inspected a few individual URLs from the “page with redirect”. GSC indicated the URLs can be indexed. However, I can’t possibly do that for 1k URLs. Is there anything I can do with the sitemap to eliminate the “page with redirect” exclusion?

Background: Some of the pages are redirects from my old domain since many months ago, and some new postings. Previously, I have no such problem with these pages, it’s only in Feb 2019, I experienced a steady dip of website traffic that I looked into GSC.

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

Odd. We would expect Google to indicated that pages with redirect TO NOT BE indexed. Google is expected to follow the redirect and make the old page drop off in Google.

We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO 11?

    2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    3. Can you provide some examples of these URLs that Google is flagging as “page with redirect”?
