    Hello @passegua

    Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap. I understand some child sitemaps in the sitemap index still have the last modified date as 2020. Can you share specific URLs in those sitemaps that you recently modified? If there are none, the last modified date showing as 2020 is correct. The date will not change because of the steps you highlighted above. The date changes if you actually modified any of the URLs.

    Thanks, I understand that “If there are none, the last modified date showing as 2020 is correct” so most probably I didn’t change any URL after the 2020. I thought that when the sitemap is updated it would show today’s date.

    The last modified date is when last you modified something in the sitemap not when last you re-generated the sitemap.
