Sitemap got messed up with latest update v22.6

I updated to the latest Yoast version 22.6. I then worked on updating and publishing some posts, then resubmitted my posts sitemap. GSC said it couldn’t fetch it.
After some digging, it looks like the update to the latest Yoast version did not respect/carry over the existing Yoast settings from the previous version, and consequently altered my sitemap.
This was my sitemap before the update:

This was my sitemap after the update
https://sitename.com/sitemap_index.xml
The sitemap structure changed because the latest Yoast update enabled all these below, whereas they were disabled in my previous Yoast version:
- format archives
- date archives
- author archives
- media pages
- Show tags in search results
- Show categories in search results
And these were disabled in the latest Yoast update, whereas they were enabled in my previous installed version:
- Posts – Show pages in search results
- Pages – Show pages in search results
Just wanted to report. I fixed and reset the settings to how they were before.
