I just noticed the sitemap is almost blank. Even after changing a few settings like the caching of the sitemap, there still are no links loaded.

    Any ideas?

It gets weirder, it comes up as a 404 if I’m not logged in

If I’m logged in here’s what it looks like:

    name — XML Sitemap
This is a generated XML Sitemap, meant to be consumed by search engines like Google or Bing.

You can find more information on XML sitemaps at sitemaps.org.

    Hello, and Happy New Year!

    No posts in the sitemap
The SEO Framework doesn’t index products, posts, and pages in the sitemap when they’re not public. I believe you’ve enabled sitewide noindex settings for all post types. I highly recommend unchecking those options.

You should have something like the attached image below:

Recommended SEO settings for WooCommerce and TSF

The SEO Bar should inform you of the state via the “I” item.

    SEO Bar indexing

    Sitemap not visible
The caching plugin may interfere with the output of the sitemap. Flush the site-wide cache, and it should be outputted. I believe you just did that ??

I hope this helps! Feel free to follow up once you’ve changed the settings so that I can assess the validity. Cheers!

    Hi @paulka,

After some close inspection, it seems you’ve ticked every box there is in The SEO Framework. Many of these settings are destructive: They prohibit/protect your website from visitors. They are advanced, and they should only be utilized when you have that intention.

I believe you want Google and other search engines to show your website in their search results. So, I recommend resetting the SEO settings and start over with The SEO Framework. You can quickly learn how to manage the few most essential settings via our setup guide: https://theseoframework.com/docs/seo-plugin-setup/. Leave all the other settings as they are initially, and you should be OK!

After you’re done reconfiguring the SEO settings, you should also reset the cache, and you’re all set. Good luck!

    Oh how dense…

Yes I had in fact selected the do not index my site, I thought I was logged into another similarly named site that is still staging

Thanks, folks I really need to be more careful!!!!

Hey Paulka, Sybre doesn’t like asking people for reviews, since he thinks it is as lame as asking you to like and subscribe on youtube.

However, every review here on w.org makes us both happy and helps us grow and maintain the top-shelf quality of the plugin and support.

Consider writing a short review here, takes 1 minute: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/autodescription/reviews/#new-post

    Thank you!
