Sitemap not updating

    Hello,

    My sitemap is not updating after making changes to some of my posts’ slugs. I can still see the old post URLS which is theen creating a lot of 3xx Redirects and being flagged by Sitechecker and Ahrefs as a problem.

    I’ve tried all the suggestions I’ve seen in the various forums.
    e.g.:
    – disabling Yoast Sitemap, deleting cache and re-enabling yoast sitemap
    – adding canonical URLS to the missing posts
    – excluding Sitemaps from WP-Rocket cache
    – excluding Sitemaps from Cloudflare cache

    But still, upon loading the sitemap still shows very old information and quite a few new posts are completely missing as well.

    Could you please provide some guidance to update the sitemap please

    Also – FYI, I already tried the below too:
    – Made sure all the pages in search appearance are set to show to search engines.
    – Checked that the advance SEO section of Yoast is set to index and follow in each of the pages (I have it enabled for all posts anyway)

    Hello Cayayo,

    We are sorry that your sitemap is not updating after trying so many ways to resolve this. Normally, the XML Sitemap should dynamically update after any modification to it. If the site or server is caching the sitemap this can cause it to not update right away. Interestingly, you seem to have tried all the troubleshooting steps we would have recommended; we also have additional information on this at the following link: https://yoast.com/help/sitemap-does-not-update/.

    To see if we can provide some more assistance, can you please share a couple of posts you expect to be in the sitemap but not yet present?
