• Yoast SEO XML sitemap orders the pages from a to z. I would like the pages to be sorted in the HTML sitemap the same as my main menu. I could give a sort order per page, but would it be possible to give the option how to sort the pages? Alphabetical, by sort order or by date or something?

I must say the 3-column layout does look very good! So I would like to stick with this plugin, but it would be nice to be able to sort the HTML sitemap. I’ve already contacted YOAST with the same question, but they won’t offer a sort option because their main goal is SEO and search engine optimization, while the HTML is destined to people instead of machine, that’s why they told me to do this feature request here…

  • I second that. It would be nice to be able to sort each page “by hand”. The Kwayy sitemap sorts by page position in the admin interface which is an alternative. Also, an option to exclude Author (also needs translation) would be nice since I only use one for the whole site and it doesn’t make sense to show it.

However, this plugin is great since it takes into consideration which pages you’ve marked for indexing or not in Yoast, which means you don’t have to input every new page/post ID you’ve created into your sitemap plugin.

Has anyone found how to do this? Thanks!
