• I recently did a guided transfer from .com to .org and integrated my blog with my primary web site- https://www.hilinebuilders.com/blog
When I generate a sitemap with the Yoast plugin, it includes all pages from the blog and uploads to a folder very deep in the blog folder. First of all, I always thought that sitemap.xml files were to be placed in the root folder of your site. Second, I already have a previous version of the sitemap, before migrating the blog, in my root folder indexing my main site pages. Can I, Should I, combine these sitemaps into one and keep it in the root folder?
Also, Yoast generated a sitemap with 88 pages. Many of which seem SEO useless. Should I no-follow some of these pages. If so, is there an easy way to figure out which ones?
    ThankYou
