Hello, I’m using WordPress SEO and the premium WordPress News SEO for my blog.
Unfortunately the regular SEO sitemap is refreshed just once per day, while the news SEO is refreshed every time I publish a new post on my blog.
How can I change the regular sitemap to refresh every time I publish something, and not just once per day.
In the sitemap index the plugin states that it is refreshed when I publish something, but the articles don’t show up until the next day.

Caching is disabled for the sitemap, as the News sitemap is refresed correctly.

You can turn off caching on by changing line 305 from true to false
$caching = apply_filters( ‘wpseo_enable_xml_sitemap_transient_caching’, true );

to

$caching = apply_filters( ‘wpseo_enable_xml_sitemap_transient_caching’, false );

or you could change the sitemap refresh time on line 325

Ok, i’ve done all those, and set the refresh time to MINUTE_IN_SECONDS but the sitemap is still unchanged. AS you can see by accessing it, I have almost 20 articles since this morning that aren’t displayed there.

Are you using any caching plugin?

Yes, but I have excluded the sitemap from them. It’s really strange because the google news sitemap is refreshed every time i publish something and it’s integrated in the same main sitemap.
Are there any other caching options to set to false ? Do I have to deactivate and reactivate the plugin for these changes to take effect ?

I think you need to talk to the plugin authors since I am out of ideas.
