sitemap update

This should happen automatically. If it doesn’t, then you might have a dormant sitemap file on your server from another plugin.

To assess the above, please compare your sitemap to the one you see here, they should look alike:
https://theseoframework.com/sitemap.xml

it seems I have the same problem. I have WPML managing the translations, and on the /cn/ folder the sitemap is not updating.

Anything I can do to troubleshoot and/or fix the issue?

The sitemap’s caching mechanism hasn’t been changed in almost a year (or two, even). I haven’t received any reports on it until now.

So, before I start guessing what the issue could be, I’d like to collect samples: Could you share the location of your sitemap with me? If you’d like to keep it confidential, please open a new topic and enter your URL in the designated field there (it’ll be hidden from logged-out users); alternatively, submit your URL privately on my contact page.

UPDATE: when you mentioned the cache, I went ahead and turned it off, which forced the sitemap to generate again. However, if I turn the cache back on the sitemap goes back to an outdated version.

I am using WP Fastest Cache.

I’ve found that not all actions update the sitemap properly anymore. This regression was probably added when hardening the plugin against attacks. I’ll look into this for the next update.

Now, if you update any post, with the sitemap transients enabled, the sitemap should be flushed.
