    Hello,

Just need a bit of a help with the sitemap.
After enabling the sitemap option, it won’t generate the sitemap_index.xml

The re-write rule is in place.
It is not 404 error as well – just couldn’t find the sitemap_index.xml like how it can’t find an html or post.

    Look forward to some advice!

    Kind regards,
    Sucahyo

Tried to resolve using /?sitemap=1 and still not resolving to the correct xml.

Not sure if im missing a step or two..

    Try

    A) resave permalinks
    b) clear transients with wp-optimize

if still not working, trying turning option OFF, then back ON again in Yoast panel, then check the link on the Yoast admin page.

Seems to be common fix for this ??

Thanks for the quick reply @neotrope!

    I tried A) resave permalinks.
Also tried turning the option OFF and then back ON again.
I have not tried B) clearing the transients with wp-optimize.

I did however reset my database and there is basically nothing in the blog now apart from 2 testing posts; still couldn’t find the URL link however. :S

I will give the B) a try in couple of hours.

    Thanks so much!

Finally got the sitemap_index.xml to work! Can’t exactly remember what I did but something about the taxonomy.
However, sofar it is not listing my posts though – only categories.

Any idea what might be the potential issue?

    Much thanks in advance.

No idea. Something unique to your site?

It’s working on 20+ sites for us as both free and paid version, many with also the news sitemap add-on, etc.

So….. not much else I can suggest, sorry.

    I don’t work here ??

I think it has something with the database – running PostgreSQL.

There seems to be an incompatibility issue with the current driver. :S

Much thanks for responding to my questions though! ??
