• Sitemeter sometimes messes my blog. It doesn’t happen all the time, just when sitemeter has a problem to load (or something). Is there any solution around this? It was placed in the footer, but after the problem began, I removed it and now I’m using Google Analytics instead. Still, I’d prefer Sitemeter. Thanks.

  • This kind of problem is reported quite often. Remove it if you can do without it or use some other stats service.

yes, i’ve read many complaints about sitemer. i tried other services, i either don’t like them or they too mess with my blog. I was wondering, is this somehow related to java? can this be solved by a non-java sitemeter code? thanks

If your site works OK without Sitemeter, just remove it. I used to use such services and stopped using them because most of them I tried in one way or the other extract the price for the services from you. It can be by redirecting traffic, injecting adware, spyware, etc. and their scripts often creating conflicts with other site functions. Now I use Google analytics and the WordPress stats (Jetpack).
