I need to allow certain user roles to view an extra sidebar created via pagebuilder in a page I have. After installing your plugin I see it supports Siteorigin widgets, but I don’t see a menu to select who (user role) can see the widget.

Do I have to pay to have that?

  • Hi,

Thank you very much for choosing Widget Options! As of the moment the user role is available on the Extended version and only on widgets dashboard but will be very happy to help you out after upgrade. Just create a ticket here : https://phpbits.net/contact after purchase. Thanks!

    Cheers,

    As of the moment

Sir, I am a developer too and can paste the code here with instructions to allow other users to set visibility permissions for widgets using php function/reference: current_user_can.

Just asking if you had that in place to avoid programming all that in vain.

    Hi,

You can definitely use the Display Widget Logic option. My apology for the misunderstanding, I thought you are asking for user restriction on Widget Options for each SO widgets. User roles restriction on front-end is definitely available on the Extended Widget Options : https://widget-options.com/features/restrict-wordpress-widgets-per-user-roles/ . Feel free to upgrade to get this and more. Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Jeffrey

Oh I think you understood. I pasted the code the free version is missing just to show you that I don’t need to buy your plugin to add user role conditions but you seem to be a nice fellow developer so I changed my mind.

    Nice plugin nonetheless…
