I run this plug-in on three sites I manage. After the latest update to v1.1 all three sites were broken– nav systems don’t work, widgets don’t load, and blog posts don’t appear. I’ve temporarily disabled the plugin to work around the issue.

I rolled back to v1.0.4 and the sites are working again.

Well this is not what’s supposed to be happening! (obviously) I suspect a conflict with some other plugin you’re running. Can you give me any more info? Anything in error logs? Who are you hosting with? Any particular plugins you’re running at the same time?

Would like to figure this one out ASAP.
    Thanks.

    Of course! These things happen.

I wasn’t logging when the error occurred but I can do that after hours tonight.

I don’t believe it to be a plug-in conflict– how I determined the issue was this plug-in was by disabling ALL my plug-ins and enabling them one by one. The error occurs with only this plug-in enabled.

I’ll check on which themes I’m running but my sites are using unique themes.

    EDIT: Self-hosted, WordPress v 5.1.4, PHP v 5.6.17

    Scratch that, I was logging:

[03-Feb-2020 19:14:28 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_date() in /usr/local/www/apache24/data/[site-redacted]/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/mf-gig-calendar/mf_gig_calendar_widget.php on line 70

Aha! That wp_date() function fixed a whole bunch of errors that other folks were having. Looks like it requires 5.3 of WordPress (it’s a new addition). I better update that in the plugin description.

5.3 is the minimum requirement now for MF Gig Cal 1.1

So if 1.0.4 is working for you, stay there until you upgrade the site to WP 5.3. Then it will be safe!

Makes sense, I’ll disable the auto-updates (which just bricked me again!) until I’ve been able to upgrade my hosting server. Thanks for clarifying!

All good. Sorry about the confusion. I’ll update the requirements on the plugin.
