    Hi there!

I am using your plugin on various sites, but just recently after updating to the latest version I noticed that on some sites new posts do not display and Soliloquy slider does not update if I have it enabled. As soon as I disable it, posts and slider images (on site https://namestnik.si) were updated … but if I enable it again (even after a day or two), new posts and slide images are not showing! So, I had to disable the plugin on both of these websites and I am wondering if I should disable it on other sites as well?!

I had the following options enabled on both pages:
New Post – Clear cache files when a post or page is published
Update Post – Clear cache files when a post or page is updated

Can you tell me why this is happeneing or is this a glitch in the latest version? I had no chance to check it on all other sites that I manage (20+).

    Please respond ASAP.
    Thanks!

Yes, @emrevona , it seems that the problem appeared after updating to v. 0.9.0.4 (and I haven’t tried ver 0.9.0.3). Is 0.9.0.2 problematic? Should I update to 0.9.0.3 and try?

    Please keep me updated.
    Thanks!

    Hello @emrevona

I faced absolutly the same problem. But figure it out.
Because I used older version of your plugin, after the latest update, it looks like you changed the cached folder and files structure. What I mean:
    – before the latest update, the cached files structure was “cache/all” and “cache/wpfc-minified”
    – after the latest update, the cached files structure become “cache/domain-name/all” and “cache/domain-name/wpfc-minified”

The problem is with the deletion algorithm. When I installed the latest version, I tried to delete the cache. Yes, it was deleted but ONLY from the new files structure with the domain-name. The OLD cached files still hold there, no matter how many times I pressed the delete cache button in the admin interface.

So, I had to use ftp access to files of my site just to find this new files structure. Then, I just delete the old one and everything was fine.

Maybe, it will be good if you add some functionality to check for the old files structure, and if it’s there, just delete it.

Great plugin, thank you for your effort and the good work. Cheers!

hi @alex4e , can you delete wp fastest cache and download the following version to get the latest changes please? I fixed the problem but I did not release a new version yet.

Yes, @alex4e , that is exactly the same issue I have. And you use Polylang, correct? Because the structure changed only for the sites using Polylang for me … and that started with version 0.9.0.3, so I wonder why structure cannot remain like in ver 0.9.0.2? It is obviously a bug, so why can’t you @emrevona release a new version immediately? It is obviously affecting many sites, so the fix should be available for everyone.

In addition to that I am also wondering why auto-detection for the browser language does not work when using WP Fastest Cache and Polylang and how could this problem be solved, Emre? Somebody else wrote about it here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/60488520/how-to-make-wp-polylang-plugin-work-with-wp-fastest-cache

    Please respond ASAP.
    Thanks!

    Hi @dmarin
Yes, I use Polylang for this site.
I’m still not updated my other sites without translation, so I cannot confirm if the problem is only with website with Polylang.
I’m not using auto-detection for browser, so I cannot confirm it either.

    Hi @emrevona
Thank you for your help. I will install the version with the last changes, thank you.

@alex4e you can safely update it on other sites that do not use translation, because according to my experience file structure does not change for sites that do not use Polylang. It seems that WPFC’s file sturcture is affected only because of Polylang, but this structure has not been changed back to /cache/all in the update that was provided here.

    Dear @dmarin

I’m sure that @emrevona will do what it needs to make the necessary changes and will push an update for everyone. Until then, we can just manually delete the old files structure and everything will work with no worries. It works for me at least. ??

Have a great day and be safe!

Thanks for updating to 0.9.0.5 @emrevona

I read that it was supposed to fix the problem I wrote about above, but I notice that the folder structure is still changed on sites where I use Polylang and the cache from folder cache/all is not automatically cleared after update. ??

So, I am not really sure that latest version fixed anything related to Polylang?

Also, can you tell me if you plan to fix problem related to Polylang’s auto-detection for the browser language?

    Regards, Danijel

    Hello @emrevona,
I’m also following this support because I’m facing the same problem with cache not cleaning. Indeed the new version still didn’t correct it ?? I had to rollback again to 0.9.0.2. Feel free to tell me if you need some testing while trying again to correct it.

you should clear the /wp-content/cache/all/ folder via FTP manually.

Indeed @emrevona, after removing that folder the plugin is now working well, thanks a lot!

Just a suggestion: Maybe you could write that needed step on the changelog, to be more visible for everyone that might be facing the same problem or even not noticing they have it yet.

Thanks again, still using your plugin on all my websites.
