• I’m having heaps of trouble with this awesome plugin.
I can’t get it to populate the main blog (this is miss-spelled on the admin page BTW, it says “Poplate Posts”
It used to work great but now I’ve got some sites with a few thousand posts and I’ve accumulated thousands of tags on the main site.
I suspect its the large tag and post tables are causing a problem.
Deleting the tags seemed to help for a while but I’m getting a lot of timeouts and server PHP exceeded errors.
I’ve gone to a VPS with 4Gig memory and set the PHP memory to 256, but its still not populating the main blog.
I’m still getting PHP exceeded errors and sometimes it just disables the plugin and takes me to the admin page with the enabled box unticked and other options hidden until I tick it.
    Now I’m getting another error

    The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
    * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept

  • I’m guessing I create a custom field then select that to be copied across.
I wondered though if Sitewide tags creates something like this when it copies the posts. I’m sure this would be useful to lots of people and I would have thought easy to put into the plugin.

I’m fairly sure that someone made a custom version of SWT that did this. It wouldn’t be that difficult to do. However, it’s not something most people using SWT would use, so it’s not likely to ever be incorporated into the plugin.
