    Hello!

My problem is, that all my products get not approved in Google Merchant Center because the attributes size and color are missing.

I have created the 2 global attributes and have created a rule for them.

My Woo products get created by the Gelato plugin. The issue might be, that it is not using the 2 global attributes, but just creating 2 new ones. As you can see on the screenshot, the 2 global attributes are still available in the dropdown.

How can I map size and color now?

    thanks
    Jochen

Hi Jochen, @gmmedia, thank you for your message.

We have a mapping feature that you can use to link attributes as needed; for instance, please check our relevant documentation here to learn how to map Color and Size attributes to your own attributes:

Please let us know if you have any more questions!

    Cheers!

Thank you, but that’s precisely the problem. It is only possible to map global attributes.

    Hi @gmmedia,

Thank you, but that’s precisely the problem. It is only possible to map global attributes.

That’s correct. You can use any attribute as long as it is global. Are your attributes defined only within your product page? Can you make the switch so they’re global?

I understand you’re working with a third-party plugin (from Gelato). If necessary, I would ask them about this.

    Please keep us posted.

    Thanks!

Exactly, all my attributes are custom attributes. NO global attributes.

No, I can not switch to global attributes because my supplier only creates custom attributes.

If necessary, I would ask them about this.

Surprise, I am sure they will tell me the same ?? But got no answer yet.

I still need to solve this problem. All my products are unlisted because of the missing attributes.

All other listing plugins allow to map custom attributes.

Hello! In order to isolate the issue, I’d suggest creating a product using the default editor i.e. without the Gelato plugin. If the product gets approved and syncs with Google it would indicate an issue with the way Gelato is creating the plugin. However, if the issue still persists, we’ll be happy to take a closer look at this.

Yes, the problem persists because I cannot map product or custom attributes.

All other GMC sync plugins are supporting this.

    Hey there! ??

    Thanks for circling back.

I wanted to share that Google for WooCommerce doesn’t support displaying all the custom fields available in a shop when you’re mapping attributes. A great approach would be to use a code snippet to enable those extra attributes.
    ?
Please see: Use case 7: Mapping Custom Fields to Google Attributes.

More information from Google: Set up custom attributes to use in feed rules.

    I hope this helps!
