I’ve changed the “large” size from 660×660 to 726×0 and regenerated thumbnails for a single image, which had a “large” file sized 788×1024. No matter how many times I try, it’s not being regenerated.

    The original is 1237x1607px.

I’ve just updated the site to EWWW 5.2, if this makes any difference, and any regenerated file is also optimised, so I’m thinking this isn’t the problem.

Also, all other registered sizes are regenerated OK, and those that aren’t registered are ignored. This one is the only one having an issue.

The details dialog box shows the correct expected sizing, and once the thumbnail is deleted, it is recreated in the correct size (and optimised).

I suspect some lingering meta data, but haven’t dug deep enough to prove it.

    Hi Gal,

I run a scenario as you described, and I cannot replicate the issue.

The image gets to be generated as expected. I suspect indeed a meta or a permission issue for that specific file. If you can replicate this again, please check both the meta and permissions.

Just to be sure, you didn’t delete first?

No, no removal. I changed my large size to 660×660 -> I uploaded the image with the size you mentioned -> that generated the image like at https://imgur.com/aF00oh6 -> I got back to the media settings and changed the large size to 726×0 -> I went back to the image info and just clicked the regenerated button and it generated the file like at https://imgur.com/7LS9DmA.

    Hi Iulia,

Just to clarify, the original “large” size was 1024×1024 when the first image was created, which explains its dimensions. I later changed it to 660×660 without regenerating and recently, changed again to 726×0.

Anyway, this seems to have been a rare occurrence, so let’s drop it for now. If I bump into another one, I’ll let you know.

    Thank you,
    Gal
