    Hi,

You have the opportunity to manage 9 or less sizes in Piwigo.
    Select one for your blog.

Changing picture size by width/height in <img> tag is not a good idea.
Poor/bad effect with different sizes (portrait, landscape, square, …).

    Not selected idea.
    Sorry.

    Hello,

as said, if size isn’t available on piwigo galery, size requested is ignored and original is returned. So, image doesn’t fit to size requested… (at least, it was what I noticed)

Add this tag was only an idea. best should be to detect size available before insering it in article.

    Knowing well you picture sizes,
    Managing your gallery/ies,
Will be better than any resizing any picture by a browser.

Sharpen/pixel effects on their original pictures due to resizing would never be accepted asis by photographers.

This topic have to be closed.
    Thanks for the idea.
    Sorry again but not selected.
    ;o)

    Hello,

sorry to insist, but we are not always owner of galleries.
I think, intermediate solution should be to detect size and display it bellow thumbnail (see dummy example bellow):
    only a proposition

Like this, we directly know what is available, and select the appropriate option…

    This proposal might be possible.
    I will study it later.
Up this topic after next release launch.
    Thanks.
