• Howdy, I’m noticing when I View Page Info (via Firefox) I can see what images that should be loading. I can also see the sizes. I’m noticing that the gallery thumbnails are accessing the original super large images and merely displaying it as thumbnail size. This seems very inefficient and slow especially if there is a gallery displaying a dozen images. Am I missing something that should allow the thumbnails to pick a smaller WordPress size of an image. I searched and did not result of anything in the forums. Seems like this would be a huge deal!

    Please advise.

Okay, here is a screenshot of the problem.

I am pretty sure that the problem is that the filesize of the original image is too large, because if I limit the number of images to display, it will more often display properly.

So, the question again is how do I display the thumbnail as thumbnail-sized file. Given an image with large dimensions (1600px or so), WordPress automatically generates a thumb, small and medium versions of that same file. However, according to View Page info of the browser, the images dimensions for the gallery thumbnails is loading the giant master images instead of the smaller versions of an image. (see here)

    Any clues?
