    Hi Alberto,

    Is this happening consistently?

Just keep in mind that the random function is just that. If you roll a dice there’s always a chance you get the same number repeated twice. Similarly if you have a small number of contestants, there’s always a chance of getting the same result again.

If you have a number of contestants and you’re always getting a repeat on skip, please get back to ues, that sounds like a bug

    Regards

    Owen

Hi Owen, thank for your response and for your work with the plugin.

I didn’t know that the skip button works in random mode. I’m developing now and I have 6 contestants. Is there a way to change this random function?

I see that the voting system has the same function, it loads randomly another contestant, isn’t it?

Ok, seems it’s no bug, I’ll try to adapt my needs to your plugin as is.

    Thanks again for your work!

    Kind regards,
    Alberto

Do you reckon it would be better as a : “pick a random contestant but NOT the one that’s displayed at the moment ” function?

Considered that in the beginning but based on the fact that the more contestants someone has, the less of an issue that becomes; I stuck with a plain random function.
(there’s a fringe case where if someone has just 1 contestant the “pick a random contestant but NOT the one that’s displayed at the moment” will end up in an infinite loop)

Yes, I think it would be better not reload the same contestant. I’m not a php guy but the random button could be hidden or disabled if there no more contestants.
