• Hi folks,

I am using WP 2.6.5 with a modified version of the Default template. I am also running Feed Wrangler. Most of my site is flat SHTML pages, and I am attempting to integrate WP with the static pages, to run just my News section. I am using a stand-alone PHP script called RSS Parser to pull news headlines from the feed and include them on my static pages.

Now the problem: To do what I want with the integration, I need the ability to *skip* a given number of the latest headlines. Is there any way (might need a code hack) that I can generate an RSS feed that skips the X-newest items?

RSS Parser can do the rest. I just need the ability to create a feed that (for example) skips the four newest headlines and includes #5 through #20, or just headline #8.

    Thanks!

(Apologies if this belongs in the “How To” folder instead. I was associating feed creation with templating in my mind.)
