Skip Receipt Page – Show modal on Checkout Page

  • Hi,

    Currently on clicking Pay Order on Checkout page, you are redirecting the customer to an interim /checkout/order-pay page and then launching your modal window.

    This checkout/order-pay is referring to path/plugins\woocommerce\templates\checkout\order-receipt.php template and this page looks just FUGLY ??

    There is no point for us to waste time trying to beautify this page as well.

    Would it be possible to launch your modal window at the Checkout page itself?

    I checked and see that CashFree does this well. (They launch an external website link itself which is a separate grouse ???♂?)

    Hi,

    As per my understanding that’s the flow expected in Woocommerce, i.e. checkout needs to open on a new page so that a payment can be retried without changing the order ID.

    You mentioned that there may be ways around this. Let me check those out and get back to you on whether this can be changed.

    You may look at how PayPal does this and CashFree (as mentioned, not quite the same, but it works with failed order -> retry as well. Order ID remains the same)
