SKU: AutoGenerate for Draft products?

    I have a client who enters in several products at a time, but puts them in draft mode/does not publish them.

    I realized just now that the SKU will only auto-generate when the product is published. Is there a way to auto assign the SKU once the product is saved in any manner? (ie: draft, private, etc)

    Hi,

    Could you check if the “Generate SKU for New Products Only on First Publish” option is disabled in the “SKU” module settings?

    ya know… i tried that yesterday, but something must have been stuck in the cache… or something like that.

    anyhow, i just tried that again… and it worked. thank you very much for the follow up ??

    my apologies on replying with another question, but if you wouldn’t mind…

    is there a way to use the auto-generated SKU to set the product slug, similar to the settings on SKU?

    something like this, for slug:
    {category_prefix}-{sku_number}

    Unfortunately that is not possible yet but we have added it to our todo list.
